1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.
I am a serving Dental Nurse with the Royal Navy. I am also a member of a Roman living history group, a gladiatorial re-enactment group, and Warcraft, a stage combat society. I also enjoy Karate, running and cycling.
2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had?
12 years. I have done everything from medieval to space age, for shows, TV and my husband!!
3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi?
When living in Scotland when I was only a kid, and seeing it with my big sister at the cinema and loving it when it first came out, and crying when Vader died.
4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?
The one pictured is my first proper bikini, the other was made of cardboard for my husband when we first met as he loves Star Wars. I enjoyed wearing it so much, I decided to go for the proper item.
5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?
Celebration Europe, this was my first time.
6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?
I would do a belly dance to belly dance music, as this is what it makes me think of. As it is sexy and sophisticated.
7) Any final words?
We had a fantastic time at Celebration Europe. I had dozens of photographs taken, and lots of enquiries about the bikini. Go for it! If I can do it at 37 and still have fun and lots of attention, so can anyone. The bikini is very top notch!!
