| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm a 25-year old geek who enjoys sewing, costuming, playing MMORPGs, dancing, spending time with my friends, and rockin' out to 80's music. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I costumed as a little kid for plays, Halloween, and stuff like that. As an adult, I've only been costuming and going to conventions for about 3 years. It is a wonderful experience. I love the people I meet at conventions (I refer to them as my geek soulmates). I love perfecting my costumes. It is an extraordinary hobby. :-) 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? I remember seeing ROTJ when I was a little kid. Back then, my favorite part about ROTJ was the love story between Han and Leia. I loved it when she told Han "No, it's not like that at all!..... He's my brother" - that was the best! :-) 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? My first metal bikini was Dragon Con '03. I did it about a week before the Con. I wanted to be Slave Leia so bad, but since I was pregnant at the time, I thought I couldn't do it. My husband and my friends convinced me that pregnant women can be sexy, too. My husband said he would also write "baby jedi" on my fat belly, and the rest is history! 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? There are several favorite memories. Though I still think my favorite is when people come up to me and say "hey, aren't you that girl that had Baby Jedi written on her belly?" and then they proceed to tell me how cool that was. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? "Lapti Nek".... Hands down, no questions asked. :-) 7) Any final words? Jamin is awesome, ladies. Get to know him. :-) Thanks Amy! |
