1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm a senior at a local university with a major in finance and business administration.  My hobbies include foreign language, exercising, collecting wines, and
Star Wars collecting & costuming.  My husband is a major collector, especially of vintage collectibles.  His costume wardrobe consists of Qui-Gon, Darth Maul, Han Solo, and he is almost finished with Jango.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I have been costuming for a little over three years.  I have the Padme "light blue" dress, of course the metal bikini and currently I am working on Zam Wesell.  I have been to a few conventions and they were all really fun.  Celebration II  has been the best so far.  It is great to be married to someone with the same interests in building costumes and attending conventions.

3)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

Costuming in general is great.  One of my costuming goals is to collect and build a whole line of Leia costumes.  I thought the metal bikini was a good start!

4)  What is it about Slave Leia that inspires you to portray her?

Any form of Leia is inspiring.  Whether it be her royal robes, army-like attire or metal bikini.  I'd have to say though the fact that she killed the big fat slob Jabba while she was in the bikini costume is pretty impressive.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

My best experience was at Celebration II when I was Slave Leia.  There were many things I enjoyed at the convention but one of my favorite parts was meeting Carrie Fisher.  I waited for hours in the line when we finally had our turn Carrie got a real kick out of my costume and she told me how she hated wearing that "uncomfortable" thing on the set.  My group and I had a good laugh!

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Dance for Jabba?  Ewwww would'nt dream of it, he would have to die first!

7)  Any final words?

Science fiction and heroic fantasy are great.  They inspire the imagination and make movie going and participation so much more interesting.  When it comes to sci-fi, Star Wars is still the best saga that has graced our screens.  It will be exciting to see how Episode III turns out!
