1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm originally from Jackson, MS, but I left there as soon as I had a good excuse, like college.  I choose Alabama, where I am currently enrolled as a student at University of Alabama majoring in Telecommunication and Film.  As far as hobbies go, it's pretty much Star Wars and Costuming (mostly overlapping of the two, namely Star Wars costuming).

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I've been seriously costuming for about 2 years, but for years I've been altering store bought clothes to fit me better (being tall and thin can actually be a curse sometimes), so costuming was a logical progression.  I just love the feeling of taking something like fabric and creating something that you can wear and be proud of.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I know that I had seen Jedi before this, but the earliest time I can remember seeing it and being mesmerized by it was just after Episode 1 came out and I sat down and watched all of the original movies in one day.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

I made a metal bikini for the Episode 3 premiere, but completely re-did everything for
DragonCon '05 since I was never happy with the way my first try turned out.  I have wanted to wear a bikini since 2002, when Attack of the Clones came out.  A friend and I were leaving the midnight screening, and there was no one at the theater in costume, so I told my friend that I was going to go all out and make Leia's Bikini for the Episode 3 premiere.  I didn't realize that I would only be 18 when ROTS came out, but I swallowed my fears and made the bikini.  And even though I've lost touch with my friend, I at least fullfilled my promise to myself that I would make my bikini.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

My first time wearing in in public was actually at DragonCon for the
photo shoot.  I think that was so amazing, having photographers literally mob our whole group.....   that was a wonderful experience!!

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Gotta go with the classic answer of Lapti Nek.

7)  Any final words?

Never try to bake Crayola Model Magic....   and never use a cheap conventional oven to bake Sculpy.   :-)

Thanks Angela!
