1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

Well, I'm a so-called paralegal in a savings bank, which means my job is extremely boring.  I always needed to escape reality, so dressing up is one of my hobbies.  Others are horseback riding, archery, karate, movies and reading.  I am a total Carrie Fisher-nut.  She was my role model while I was in my teens and I still think she's great.  Right now I have to admit though that my costume making shifted more to the Lord of the Rings section.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I did dress up as our fav royal since I was a whee child when A New Hope came out and drove my parents bonkers with it.  Dressing up was always alright around carnival in Germany, but outside that time you were (or are) treated like the ultimate nerd (which is something okay, nerds are really not that bad, aren't they?)!

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I was scandalized when I saw the first pics of the bikini, but I considered the outfit "cool".

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

My first one was made (actually I made it) to the Frankfurt German Jedi Con.  To me, it was just another one of the Princess Leia dresses.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

As a matter of fact, you get treated very nicely, but I remember freezing my butt off.  And some people develop stickiness, although you don't want them to.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

The Xena-war cry?  No dancing and nice doing from my side here!

Thanks Barbara!
