1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm a college student currently studying psychology.  Obviously, I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I also love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, comic books, video games, cartoons, and movies.  I love anything that fits into the fantasy/sci-fi genre.  I guess you could say I'm a pretty big geek - I even skipped my high school prom to go see Star Wars:  Episode 1!

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I have been costuming for about five years.  I've had absolutely amazing experiences!  I've had the privilege of appearing in magazines, being in a Star Wars commercial, meeting celebrities, and best of all, meeting so many amazing Star Wars fans!  Star Wars costuming has brought so many amazing people into my life and I've made some lifelong friends.  One of the odd but fun things about being a serious costumer is that you get elevated to "pseudo-celebrity" status at conventions.  I've had total strangers know me by name at conventions.  One time I even got recognized at a restaurant - when I was in normal clothes, far away from a convention!  That was pretty cool.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I wasn't around when the trilogy was first released in theaters, but my parents showed me Star Wars when I was about seven years old.  I remember being enthralled at the Jabba's Palace scene.  Leia's Slave outfit really stuck out in my mind; it was so...  well, sexy!  The whole Jabba's Palace sequence is still one of my favorite scenes in Return of the Jedi because I ahve such fond memories of watching it when I was younger.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

I got my first metal bikini right before Celebration 3, but I'd actually wanted to wear that costume for years.  It's by far my favorite costume out of all six
Star Wars movies.  It has everything - it's beautiful, sexy, and Leia is a really fun character to portray!  I had worn other Leia costumes at previous conventions, but I finally got the nerve to wear the slave costume for C3.  I'm so glad I did - I've never had so much fun at a convention!

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

Oh gosh, I think it's impossible to choose only one memory!  It may sound odd, but I really had a great time at Celebration 3 just standing in a corner and taking pictures all day!  It was also a lot of fun winning the costume cabaret.  But I think the greatet reward for wearing the metal bikini is simply receiving positive responses from
Star Wars fans.  It takes a lot of courage to wear Slave Leia, and sometimes I feel pretty insecure about it, so it means the world to me when someone tells me that they think I look good in the costume.  I never take a compliment for granted.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Ewww, dance for Jabba?  I think I'd rather face the Rancor.

7)  Any final words?

Live long and prosp - I mean, may the Force be with you!

Thanks Christy!
