1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.
I am a professional fitness athlete, so all my hobbies revolve around physical activites, weight training, muay thai (martial arts), any kind of dance (hip hop, techno, belly dance). I also like interior decorating, cooking, and all kinds of crafts.
2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had?
I have been costuming "forever", especially when I worked for 4 years as a professional dancer at the Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach. My best friend and fellow dancer Mandy and I would always come up with great stuff. However, I had never been "Princess Leia" until just recently.
3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi?
I first saw Star Wars when I was a kid and it first came out. From the intro up until the final credits, I was absolutely captivated.
4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?
I first got my metal bikini several weeks ago, when we did an opening for my fitness, figure and bodybuilding classic. We needed something "awesome" to get the crowd going and I came up with a Star Wars routine. We blew everyone away! It was great!
5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?
My favorite memory of appearing as Princess Leia was the crowd's response when my cape came off. They were expecting me to be the Emperor but, when I was actually Leia, they stood on their feet! Plus the costume was so cool!
6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?
If I danced for Jabba the song would be Britney Spears "I'm a Slave for You." I don't know why, it just came off the top of my head and seems appropriate!!
7) Any final words?
I wish I had seen your site sooner! I love my Leia bikini so much I would have bought it a long time ago (even without having to do a skit)!
