| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm a 22 year old college student studying science. I hope to knock out my pre-veterinary studies while getting a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a minor in Astronomy. My hobbies include video gaming, cooking, and watching football and hockey. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I wouldn't really say I have been costuming vigorously. My mom really got me into costuming because she always made our Halloween costumes. For the past few years, I made my own costumes instead of buying the fake and flimsy costumes available in stores. Trying to create this costume was really tough. Before I could be creative with my costumes and I had my own vision of what it looked like. With this costume, I wanted to stay true to the original, which is why I finally quit and bought it instead. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? I first saw ROTJ when I was very young. I don't remember the first time I saw it, but I know my family watched the Star Wars movies A LOT. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? I got my first bikini in 2006. I attempted to make my own. But, the craft stores here didn't have much of a selection, and I didn't want to make a brittle costume. I decided to be Princess Leia because I wanted to portray someone who was sexy, strong and smart. 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? The reactions I received are definately my favorite memory. Many people cheered me on as I would walk by, saying I was very couragous for wearing this costume and telling me I was gorgeous. The more I wore the costume, the more confident I became! 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? Only if I was forced to dance for Jabba, I would dance to "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake because I'd be a slave in shackles, and it's a sexy song to dance to! Thanks Ginger! |
