| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. Hi! Holly Golightly here! Born 9/64, raised in NYC, lived there for 30 years, and now residing in the luscious woods of Eastern PA for the last 10 years with my groovy boyfriend, Jim Balent (He's in the Vader suit)! I'm a comic book artist and writer. Also, I'm the VP of Jim Balent's BroadSword Comics. I've worked on CosmoGirl, Archie Comics (Sabrina, Josie and More...) and now happily drawing my own title "School Bites" and doing color & production for Jim's book Tarot, Witch of the Black Rose (website at www.jimbalent.com) Hobbies.... not a lot of time left in the day, but we play video games, I collect Disney and dye my hair. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? Longer then I can remember. My mom has a pic of me in a cutey bunny outfit at age 2. At conventions I spokesmodel Jim's characters, 99.9% of everyone is cool.... sometimes Jim and I dress to see a movie or visit the mall.... always fun! The Best is on Halloween... we do it up and the town all comes and visits! Some though are a bit scared of us - tee-hee......... We're doing a Star Wars theme this year! 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? After the trauma of Empire, I believe I was relieved! I was 14 when I saw New Hope 48 times in the theater!). Saw Empire 14 times and Jedi the same.... New Hope is my fav! 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? We just got it on May 17th (created by Darci)! Jim and I wish to be married in costume.... and when we came up with the Star Wars theme- Hey! I had to be Slave Leia and Jim as Vader! 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? I'll tell you after the wedding. >wink< 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? First off, YUCK! I wouldn't want to.... but if I really had to... errr "Tainted Love". I'm an 80's girl! 7) Any final words? Does the bra strap kill any of you other girls?! Thanks Holly! |
