1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

Brooklyn, NY, born and raised.  Hobbies include art, music, 80's nostalgia, costume making, bad horror movies and the occasional Dirty Martini.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I've always been interested in costuming in one way or another for most of my life, but my inner-geek was only really channeled recently when I was exposed to the world of CONS.  Getting the right response for your costume can vary.  You have to pick the right costume for the right occasion.  I tend to stray away from easy/obvious costumes such as the "New Hope" Leia costume, but that can have it's drawbacks as well.  At a party I appeared in my Slave Leia outfit and most people thought I was "The Queen of the Damned."

Ironically, the BEST response I ever got was not as Leia, but as Mara Jade at the recent Star Wars Celebration 3.  I knew there were going to be so many Slave Leias out there, so once again, I opted not to go with that choice.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

Seeing it on HBO as a child while arguing with my brother because he wouldn't let me play with his action figures.

.....I always got stuck playing a Jawa.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

A couple years ago.  Boyfriend was a Star Wars fan.  You guess the rest.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

Seeing my picture on this site.  Now I know I've hit the big time.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Nelly.  "It's Getting Hot In Here".

7)  Any final words?

You mean I'm done?  No coffee or cake?

Thanks Jennifer!
