| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm 27, living in Cambridge, MA for the past 7 years... grew up in NH... very boring up there. Attended Savannah College of Art and Design in GA for a year and a half before moving to Boston. I currently work as a supervisor of an art store, been there for five years now. Yikes! I also work the door at a local goth/industrial club night called Ceremony: http://www.ceremonyboston.com. I love to dance, nothing professional... I just get my stomp on! DragonCon 2006 was indeed my first. I started spinning my Ventress lightsabers there... now I'm addicted! I draw, paint and make earrings for myself... and, of course, there's costuming! Hah! 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I'd say since I was little. Halloween was always my favorite... me, striving to have the most perfect witch or cat costume... then I diverted to less classics... more character based costumes... creating more at the age of 19 or 20... so about 8 to 9 years now. Most experiences are wonderful... since I'm a perfectionist and all, I get the "whoa, that costume is fantastic, I'm impressed!" not just from whomever... but from other costumers... noteworthy. ;-) 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? I remember seeing it over and over again with my family. We had it on Beta, I think. My brother and I were big into the movie... I had my first crush on Han Solo! 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? I made it myself... preppin' the couple months before DragonCon. I was, then I wasn't... then I decided to go for it, because what better con to show it all off, right? 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? The reactions of my friends whom have only seen me in fully clothed characters... hehehe... 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? "Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails... sexy... and deadly... so the tone of the song goes. 7) Any final words? Huzzah! Thanks Jentress! |
