1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.
I'm a student in Political Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I'm originally from Nashville and would like to go back there for law school. My hobbies tend to center around my major fandoms: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Firefly/Serenity, and a few others. I do costuming and love to read.
2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had?
I've been costuming since 2005 - the first costume I made was Battle Padme for the Episode III Premiere. Since then I've done other SW costumes as well as superhero and costumes from other Sci-Fi shows and movies.
Thus far, I've had a great time at cons and other events during which I've been in costume. I have found the odd picture of me here and there, but overall it's been a great experience and a lot of fun.
3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi?
I honestly can't remember when I first saw ROTJ, but I do remember checking out the ROTJ picture book when I was in Kindergarten. It was my favorite SW movie when I was little.
4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?
I got my first metal bikini in 2007. I'd go through phases when I'd want one and then not get one, but Summer let me try her bikini on a couple of months ago and I knew then that I had to have one of my own!
5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?
As of now, I haven't been to any official events in my Slave Leia. However, Summer and I did go to a park in Nashville for pictures a while back. And that was a blast.
6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?
Hmmm.... probably either "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC, or "Kiwi" by Maroon 5. Both are fun, sexy rock songs that I love dancing to and that I'm sure Jabba would love. (Haha!)
7) Any final words?
I would advise anyone who wanted to wear the bikini to go for it. I waited a couple of years before I got mine, and I wish I'd gotten it sooner. I love it!
