1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I've enjoyed science fiction since I was a small child.  I was 4 when I saw Star Wars: A New Hope for the first time.  You could say I've been hooked ever since.  I read as well as collect Star Wars books and graphic novels.  I've been fortunate to have met several of the authors and was able to get my books signed.  As for my background, I grew up in a small southern town and have lived in the South all my life.  Even though I live in a metropolitan area of the South now, I still enjoy the "southern" way of life.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I started costuming in 1997 at DragonCon, which was also my very first con.  I've always had very good costuming experiences.  Everyone has always been nice and very respectful.  I do enjoy costuming in groups or couples the most.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I saw Return of the Jedi for the first time in 1983 at my small hometown theater.  I was blown away.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

I got my first metal bikini in October 2003 made by
Darcienne Sparber.  I had wanted to do a Star Wars costume for a while.  Since I enjoy wearing sexy costumes, it seemed only natural for me to choose Slave Leia.  I consider that to be one of the sexiest costumes out of all of the films.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

Dancing in a cage at Spatcon after C3.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

    "Simarik" by
Tarkan.  I'm an avid cabaret style belly dancer and that's one of my favorite songs to dance to right now.

7)  Any final words?

Just remember to have fun with your costuming.  If you don't enjoy it, then what's the point?

Thanks Julie!
