| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. Hi, I'm Kara from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and currently a university student with not enough time on my hands! I'm studying translation and every now and then I get a little INSPIRED..... and then I come out looking like this. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I haven't been costuming long, unfortunately I don't really have the time to devote to it! This is only my second real costume, my first was Sailor Mars, worn again at Halloween. As for what's next...? (LOL What could top Leia??) 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? That would be a looooooong time ago when my brothers were watching it and I walked in to see a bunch of scruffy "Teddy Bears" running around.... later I would see the whole thing & be impressed by a certain shiny metal bikini.... 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? Jamin created a beautiful metal bikini for me.... I wore it because I told myself that one day I was gonna be that girl, strong and beautiful, the one that everyone stares at. I worked hard, lost 35 pounds and brought up my confidence level to a point were I could walk out into the crowds of hundreds of people. Then I smiled and danced my ass off. :-D 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? Hearing someone say "I wish I had a costume people would remember me for." And then realizing that it was true. Loved it or hated it, nobody who saw me would ever forget me. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? Hmmm! Good question. I might have to be unoriginal here and say Britney Spears "Slave 4 U" or Justin Timberlake "Sexyback": "You see these shackles baby I'm your slave...." 7) Any final words?
