| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. Well, I'm from NYC and work as an administrative assistant at an investment banking firm which I think is the reason that all my hobbies are fantasy related. I love Star Wars and all sci-fi. I'm getting back into sewing now and have started collecting all kinds of Star Wars toys. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I have only gotten into costuming in the past year. The first time I was in costume was Shoreleave as Wonderwoman. I had a 4 year-old boy come up to me and tell me that I was a very pretty girl and that he liked very pretty girls. It was the best compliment I have ever gotten. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? My sisters and brother were really into Star Wars when I was growing up, but I was always too little to watch it with them. The first time I saw it, I remember it being a huge deal because I was finally old enough. I also remember thinking that Princess Leia was the coolest chick I had ever seen. She could do everything. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? After a lot of convincing on my part, my friend Spat made me the Leia that I sooooo wanted. I just really wanted to do it. It's a great costume. A classic and great for getting attention. And I love attention. LOL 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? It would have to be DragonCon (the only con I've worn it to) when the Cobra Command took me as their prisoner. Or when someone dressed as Han grabbed my chain and started to walk away with me. It was just cool how everyone stayed in character. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails..... No explaination needed. ;-) |
