1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.
I'm an embry riddle student currently working on my BS in safety, investigating accidents in the aerospace industry. Outside of school, I'm a huge Con girl. I go to all the ones I can or can't afford. My hobbies include not only wearing outfits but I make a lot of them, too. Mostly for friends, but the twi'lek was an idea after watching Oola (bless her soul) dance. I was like "I bet I could make those lekuu". I'm also a vegan and I do a lot for animal rights. I'm also very artistic. Painting and anything out of clay. I'm also a big gamer and, of course, movie fanatic. Star Wars is my number one. I throw Star Wars parties when I can as well. =)
2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had?
About 3 years now, I started by helping make my friends their costumes for anime cosplay activities. Then I started on my own. I've been a lot of different characters, but my favorite was the twi'lek slave in my Slave Leia outfit.
3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi?
My parents were big into Star Wars, so I would watch it a lot as a kid. We had the movies so when they weren't on TV, we would always have back up.
4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?
I bought it from Candy (www.threemusesclothing.com) after researching it. I was going to build it but with school, I didn't have a lot of time. But her outfit was so beautiful, I had to have it. Thus the green twi'lek slave was born, and then the not-so-green Slave Leia the next day. Hehe...
5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?
Megacon. There were a few of us and when we got together, I was blinded by the flashes of the camera. It's like being a celebrity. I loved it when I had two little girls come ask me to take a picture with them. They were like 6, but they knew who I was. It was so cute. I can't wait for DragonCon.
6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?
It's corny but, "I'm a Slave 4 You" by Brittany Spears. LOL =) There is actually a video made up of me as a twi'lek doing this with another friend who is a twi'lek, too. It's in editing right now.
7) Any final words?
There is nothing sexier than a hot chick in a metal bikini, unless it's more than one in them. =)
