1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm a Costume Design student in Denver, and I hope to transfer to a school in England that has a better design program.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I've been costuming for about 7 years as of May 2004, but only in the last year have I started to experiment with materials other than fabric.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

Sadly, I was 12 when I first saw Star Wars.  I had caught the last five minutes of ANH on TV and then hunted down a friend with the tapes.  I remember thinking how gross Jabba was and I was afraid I was going to have a nightmare about him that night!

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

To be honest, it was a bribe.  Some friends wanted me to be in their fan film commercial, "Married with Jedi", because the original concept had been my idea.  In exchange for my terrible acting skills, Troy was so kind to offer a place and materials and a TON of experience with those materials to making this.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

The first time one of the stormtroopers commented on the detail work.  I can't remember how many hours Troy and I spent making the little pits in the clay, and how hard we worked to get everything just right before painting the wax over it.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Any song for the 80's, I think, would be a blast to dance to for Jabba.  The style required isn't sexy at all, and it's aerobic!

7)  Any final words?

    Plaster molds tickle like crazy.

Thanks Leah!
