| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. My hobbies are making clothing... I have been making clothes since I was 12. I love fashion and have my diploma in Fashion Design and Technology. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I have been costuming for as long as I have been making clothes. I went to an Evil Dead: The Musical not too long ago and made my zombie costume... it looked awesome. I also really enjoy doing the make-up to go along with costumes. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? My earliest memory of seeing ROTJ is when I was really young... probably about 5 years old or so, when I used to get babysat by my grandma. Me and my brother would dig through my uncle's movies and watch all the Star Wars movies. I also used to play with all of my uncle's old Star Wars toys... he has one of those Darth Vader heads full of the action figures and sooo many more cool old Star Wars toys. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? This is my first Princess Leia metal bikini (no part of it is actually metal), however I do have a silver metal belly dancing bikini that my aunt gave me, as she used to be a professional belly dancer. But as far as Princess Leia bikinis... this was my first try. A lot of my friends want me to make one for their girlfriends now. 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? My most fond memory is going to the bar the other day for a costume competition and winning for sexiest costume... sadly only two people actually knew who I was. Once I explained to everyone who I was, everyone asked "Doesn't she have buns"... Not in this outfit, dammit!! One guy actually called me "Jabba the Hutt's slave girl!!" Can you believe that? I am Princess *%#&#%$@ Leia!! Sorry for the cursing... it just makes me sooo mad. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? What would I dance to for Jabba... LOL... well, I saw this girl on the internet dance to R2-D2 sound effects... that was pretty funny, but I would probably dance to whatever he played for me... as I am a slave for him. 7) Any final words? If anyone tells you that you cannot make a costume from a small budget that looks good, they are wrong. Thanks Lindsey! |
