1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm a 24-year-old law student living in Jacksonville, Florida.  I'm a big movie buff, especially cheesy science fiction, fantasy and 80's movies.  My boyfriend and I spend lots of time in ethnic markets and restaurants trying new cuisine.  The thing I love the most is traveling to new places.  It could be camping, a road trip, or getting out of the old U.S.A. for a while.  I took my first trip to DragonCon last year and it was such a blast that I've already bought tickets for the next one.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

I've been into costumes since as long as I can remember.  Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I've never needed a reason to dress up.  I've only made one costume, and it solely consisted of rabbit pelts, so my goal is to start making my own costumes.  Now that I've been to my first science fiction/movie/comic convention (DragonCon '06), I'm psyched to know how many people are out there just like me.

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I was too young to see it in the theater, but I distinctly remember as a child sitting in front of our large console television and watching a copied Beta Max tape of it.  I was in awe and watched it over and over again.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

I found the metal bikini website when I was searching for costume ideas.  I thought about it for a year before I got the courage to buy one and wear it in public.
Darcienne made an amazing costume and she managed to get it to me just in time for DragonCon.  It was definately worth it and it was awesome to see all the other ladies strutting their stuff.

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

I wouldn't necessarily call this my favorite memory, but it does stick in my mind.  While I was at DragonCon in my Slave Leia costume, I saw a little boy dressed up as a Jedi.  I smiled at him and said "hi".  He took one look at me and said "hubba hubba".  I must have had quite the look of shock on my face because his father started laughing and he had this look like "that's my boy!"  All in all, it was a little disturbing.

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Hmmm, dance for Jabba, huh?  That sounds like it might take quite a few drinks and by then almost any music would do.

7)  Any final words?

Keep it up, ladies.  Slave girls kick ass!

Thanks Liz!
