| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I am a corporate computer trainer, and free lance web designer. My hobbies include cooking (really big on that), crafts, and all aspects of computers. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I did theater in high school and a little after I graduated at a community theater near by. This gave me experience in mostly makeup and special effects. The Halloween costuming tradition has only been going on for 4 years.... and I had a hard time topping off the year before. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? As a child... my brother and I would watch it constantly, and of course we had all the toys. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? We came up with the idea of making my friend Grizz into Chewbacca because of his long hair and his tall build. It then progressed into having me half naked wearing the Princess Leia slave bikini. 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? People's amazement that I not only went into public like that, but that I also made it myself. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? "Don't Want No Short Dick Man"..... lol Just kidding! I have no clue! 7) Any final words? Every year I make my costume along with my friend's costume (who was Chewy). It has become a huge tradition and I always look forward to it. I never get the "store bought" costume, I always try to make everything from scratch. This year Chewbacca was my greatest work of all time! I actually made the face pieces using liquid latex, and hand placed all the hair.
