| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm in college, working on my degree in genetics, so I'm a major academic nerd, but love completely mindless activities like watching senseless comedies. I love going to concerts, too, and have been doing so since elementary school. I'm pretty upbeat, and have been described as a "sometimes goth chick" before, LOL. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I've been costuming since I was a little girl, if you count dressing up on Halloween. My mom and I often make costumes together, and my first one for an anime con was Sailor Jupiter. My most recent, aside from the gold bikini, was Bura from DBGT. Working with red vinyl is lots of fun. The gold bikini was actually my first costume made without my mom. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? My earliest memory of seeing ROTJ would be early elementary school, after seeing A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back in order. Leia immediately became my role model. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? I made my first bikini over the two weekends prior to Valentine's, which was also my one year with my boyfriend/dom (so the emphasis was on the anniversary, not Valentine's). He's a huge Star Wars fan like me, so since I love all of Leia's outfits, I figured why not make one of his fantasies come true. Plus, it went really well with the whole dom/sub thing. 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? Mmmmm, I probably shouldn't go into details, LOL. Though I did love the expression on my dom's face when he saw me in it for the first time. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? Probably the "Sweet Dreams" remix by Marilyn Manson, just 'cause it's all sexy. 7) Any final words? Let's see, good luck to all those who take on the greatness that is construction of the gold bikini!! Oh, and I enjoyed the interview, thank you very much. ^_^ Thanks Nicole! |
