1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

Well, I'm a student at Arizona State University (GO Sun Devils!) with a Theater major.  I have a sick, dirty passion for movies (I know dialogue after seeing a movie 2 times).  The best movies are Scifi/Fantasy/Horror, though it's really hard to find an actual scary movie these days.  When it comes to music, I don't know how I ever lived without my XM Satellite Radio.  I collect calendars, yes you read right, calendars.  I have at least one for every year of my life and the best picture on each one is hanging on my wall.  My favorites are my
Lord of the Rings, my Obi-Wan and my Rebel Scum calendars.  I like to read and I love making costumes.  I'll sum up with a few of my opinions.  The best feeling in the world is a pair of brand new socks.  The best smell in the world is Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.  And Tinkerbell is the sexist porn star.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kind of experiences have you had?

Actually I made my first costume in April of 2002, it was the first time I ever sewed.  It was for my Senior Prom and I didn't want to look like anyone else.  So I made the blue dress from
Sleeping Beauty.  It turned out really well and everybody loved it.  Prom sucked, but at least I had the best dress.  I'm currently working on a Mara Jade slave dancer costume.

3)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

During the NHL playoffs last year I went to both games for the Coyotes.  The
501st Dune Sea Garrison was there.  I have a weird thing with hugging people in costumes when it's not Halloween.  So they got a lot of hugs.  I saw them again at AOTC opening night.  They kept saying I should join their group, but I needed a costume.  Well, they already had a Mara Jade, but no Slave Leia's.  My duty was clear.  I didn't join them but I've got a really cool costume.  Now I get the hugs.  It may have been my first Slave Leia, but it won't be the last.

4)  What is it about Slave Leia that inspires you to portray her?

Simply the fact that she can be bound and chained and made to be a slave and still be incredibly strong and determined, and quite frankly, she kicked Jabba's ass!

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

At the IMAX premiere of AOTC, an entire row of guys bowed down to me as I passed, chanting "We're not worthy."

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

Britney Spears "I'm a Slave 4 U" because, well the title first, but also a DJ for XM radio named Priestly plays that song for me when we talk about my costume.  He helped inspire me to make it, so he of course has pictures.

7)  Any final words?

My birthday is on February 21st, so thanks to
Jamin for the best birthday present ever.

Thanks Sarah!
