1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background.

I'm a twenty year old Star Wars fan from the U.K.  My hobbies include songwriting, drawing, writing, sketching, designing graphics, dyeing my hair peculiar colors - anything which gives me the opportunity to exercise imagination and creativity.

2)  How long have you been costuming?  What kinds of experiences have you had?

This was really my first attempt at anything on this sort of scale.  As a result, constructing the bikini was difficult, but determination and extensive assistance from others prevented me from giving up.  Of course, not everything went smoothly during the process.  I'm not a talented seamstress by any means, and ended up jabbing myself with sewing needles more times than I can count.  Accidentally melting the front and back plates whilst trying to shape them has to rate pretty highly on the mishap scale also!

3)  What's your earliest memory of seeing
Return of the Jedi?

I absolutely loved Return of the Jedi, when I first saw it.  I was something of a late starter when it came to Star Wars, so I remember my first ROTJ experience in detail.  It was one of the most captivating films I have ever seen, I loved every minute of it - and naturally, I remember how fond I was of Leia's slave costume.

4)  When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it?

My first "Metal Bikini" was completely recently, after just over a month's planning and construction.  As for what drove me to it - October 31st was on it's way, and this year I wanted to do something out of the ordinary, more ambitious than previous Halloweens.  Suffice it to say, once the idea was in my head, there was absolutely no shaking it!

5)  What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia?

This bikini made it's public debut the Saturday after Halloween, when I went clubbing in it with a few friends.  I was a little concerned about it's durability, but it managed to hold up for the whole evening - and even withstood our typical British weather!

6)  If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why?

I'd prefer not to - I'm not one of nature's best dancers.  I'd do my best, of course, but my ill-advised swaying and wobbling about like a drunken bantha would probably result in Jabba dishing me up for the Rancor's breakfast.

7)  Any final words?

May the force be with you - and may your bikini be durable.

Thanks Sarah!
