| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm a 24 year old student studying to be a teacher. For the past 7 years, I've been living in Monterey, California. I've studied dance and theatre and participate in local plays whenever I have the time. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? I don't actually costume. My boyfriend made the costume for me, but.... I have at least 9 years experience in wearing sexy outfits. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? I saw ROTJ in the theater, but I was 3 so I don't recall much about the experience. The first actual memories I have of the movie come from the second time I saw it. I remember thinking it was the coolest thing in the world, and that I was in love with Luke Skywalker... and this was last year! Kidding :-) 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? This costume marks my first metal bikini. I didn't have a costume this year right up til' a few days before Halloween. My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out what I could do. He suggested a Leia costume would go well with his Sandperson. So I thought about it and then I remembered the Slave girl sequence. I whipped out my boyfriend's big Star Wars book and found the picture of the costume and showed it to him. He figured he could do it and he went to work.... but he would only do it if it was all metal. Three days later I was Slave Leia. 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? My boyfriend and I took 1st place and won a thousand dollars in a costume contest. But my favorite memory has to be this drunk guy at the club who grabbed his head and tried to pull his hair out in disbelief of the costume.... or lack thereof. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? I would have to dance to Lapti Nek, so I could turn the Jabba lair into "Jabba's house beat discotech"!! :-) 7) Any final words? Star Wars is the coolest thing in the world and I'm in love with Luke Skywalker! Thanks Tammy! |
