| 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and background. I'm a 26 year old female living on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. My hobbies are mainly internet orientated - anything from simple online games like backgammon to participating in various forums and devouring information on subjects I enjoy... in the "real world", I like to watch TV, hang with the two cats and just have a rather "placid" lifestyle. 2) How long have you been costuming? What kinds of experiences have you had? Unfortunately I absolutely suck at anything in regard to sewing or making outfits... I bought my Slave Leia outfit. This question would be more suitable to the person who made my outfit which wasn't me.... I totally wish I could take credit for it, but I won't and can't.... The Magic Wardrobe is where the credit lies. 3) What's your earliest memory of seeing Return of the Jedi? I have a very hazy and vague memory of seeing this particular film at the cinemas when I was really young. However, I really became addicted to the Original Trilogy of Star Wars by seeing it on TV when I was around age 11. 4) When did you get your first "metal bikini" and what drove you to it? The pictures you have are of the only Metal Bikini I posses and will ever posses. What drove me to it was what happened at the Episode 1 & 2 premieres.... TV, radio and newspapers were covering the events. At the first one, I didn't dress up, the second one I dressed up as Bariss Offee, hence no one really knew who I was yet... and the attention went to a girl dressed up as Amadala "pre-rip" (arena scene). I swore to myself at the Episode 2 premiere that I would dress up as someone everyone would recognise and hopefully would have the TV, newspapers and radio swarming to talk and photograph me. :-) It was a total ego thing and I'm not ashamed to say so! LOL 5) What is your favorite memory of appearing as Slave Leia? This isn't to everyone's taste, however, the photos that you have from me in my metal bikini are thanks to a Centerfold shoot I did for a national adult magazine here in Australia. That shoot was great fun and I loved it.... this is my favorite memory as I was "the" Slave Leia for a week.... as well as the fact that I did get a hellava lot of attention at the Episode 3 premiere locally... I even had "5 seconds of fame" on the national news. Therefore, I have two favorite memories of appearing as Slave Leia. 6) If you danced for Jabba the Hutt, what song would you dance to and why? Well... I don't really have a favorite song to dance to.... it really depends on what he wanted: fun/bubbly or sensual/erotic? Then I would suggest songs along those lines..... if fun/bubbly... upbeat songs such as Kiss Kiss by Holly Valiance, anything by Kylie Minogue... if sensual/erotic... then Erotica by Madonna would work well. :-) In the end, I can dance to just about anything... especially music from the 90's. :-) 7) Any final words? Buying this costume and having my moment to shine was the best thing I did for myself. I'm very glad that I bought it for the Episode 3 premiere as it made the whole night a hellava lot of fun... and left me with a memory I would treasure forever. It was only one night, however, it was one of the best... I may not always look as good as I do right now (I have youth on my side)! LOL Thanks Vanessa! |
